Bromeliad Whispering is a photographic presentation that explains common bromeliad terminology, introduces basic bromeliad botany, and reveals the science behind many common bromeliad horticultural practices. While intended to be a comprehensive Bromeliad Basics program, this lecture is also fun for the experienced grower as it provides a quick bromeliad botany refresher along with a sneak view into commercial practices that can be incorporated into the home garden.

Bromeliads Live!
Bromeliads Live is a hands-on bromeliad care workshop with no projector necessary! Stephanie will bring in a variety of bromeliads, tools, and growing products and demonstrate common horticultural practices including how to know when bromeliad pups are ready to be clipped, how to pollinate bromeliad flowers to make hybrids, how to pot awkwardly shaped plants and how to properly acclimate newly purchased plants to your garden conditions. Soil mixes, fertilizers, and pesticide choices will be discussed, as well as how to troubleshoot common problems bromeliad owners may have with their collections at home. This will be an open demonstration where questions will be welcome and encouraged.
